Northwest Hills covers the area of Austin that is west of Loop 1, east of Loop 360, south of Hwy 183. In this search I have included areas as far south as Hwy 2222, although that includes Highland Hills and Cat Mountain.

The earliest homes in Northwest Hills were probably built in the 1960s but even today there are small pockets of undeveloped land. Being so close to what is now considered Central Austin, these homes now are priced accordingly.

Perched atop many of the hills or the ridge that runs down the center of much of Northwest Hills are homes with commanding views of the Texas Hill Country or the Austin skyline. Greenbelts preserve some of the natural vegetation in many areas.
