I have spent many hours driving through Rosedale because I enjoy looking at the homes built in styles that some builders are now trying to copy in newer subdivisions that try to emulate the neighborhoods that our parents grew up in. I love its convenience and its old-fashioned feel. Rosedale is genuinely quaint.
Rosedale is generally considered to be bordered by North Lamar, 38th Street, Shoal Creek, and Hancock Drive.
Many of the original homes are 2 and 3 bedroom cottage-style with steep gabled roofs, arched door ways, and brick or frame construction. You’re likely to see some of the original homes with a one or two-story addition on the backside.
Rosedale is built around Ramsey Park which has tennis courts and a pool. Central Market and 26 Doors shopping areas are within walking distance. This is an extremely convenient and centrally located neighborhood!
